WHOLE LIFE FITNESS
SWIMMING LESSONS
At Whole Life Fitness, teaching swimming is our foundation but more importantly it is our passion. We believe swimming is a true fundamental, life skill that can be taught at the earliest of age. IN FACT! We recommend swimming from infancy. This parent/child bonding time allows swimming to become human nature, thus decreasing the chances of being weary or fearful around water with age.
OUR APPROACH
Our goal is to not only get children and adults to love the water, but to also have students swimming in a short time, while learning the correct water safety survival skills. Students will be assessed during the initial sessions and placed into the appropriate grouping based on age and ability as determined by the instructor.
Once a child has reached level 2+ they have advanced to a “Drop Off” class (No parental attendance). We ALWAYS want parents, grandparents, caregivers (whomever is going to swim with your child) to join us in the pool for at least 1 lesson to observe and learn the skills taught.
While we love teaching we do not believe in dragging lessons out at the expense of parents. If taken consecutively, your child be water safe in 8 lessons (2 weeks). Our 8 consecutive lesson program is designed to help children get the continuity needed to retain swimming skills. With never more than 8 students per swim class, our setting provides a great environment for children learning to swim.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Learning to swim the right way from the beginning. We have chosen to share our love of swimming and believe there is a swimmer in everyone. We pride ourselves on teaching the necessary skills needed to become a comfortable, proficient swimmer right from the beginning.
SMALL GROUP LESSONS
Grouped by age and ability, students benefit from small classes and personalized attention. Parents will never find more than 4 children per swim instructor, to ensure each child gets the most training and feedback, to help make them better swimmers.
WHAT SETS US APART?
Each WLF aquatics instructor is an American Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and licensed to teach swimming. A WSI is a nationally recognized teaching license and allows our program to maintain our elite swimming status! With over 45+ years teaching experience, we have perfected our swim program of teaching children and adults to swim safely.
